After a benefit analysis, it is worthwhile to choose a Geocell For Driveway. Let's analyze the following reasons.
Geocell For Driveway
Why do driveways need reinforcement?
Before we can understand what a geocell is, we first need to understand why a driveway needs to be reinforced.
A common misconception is that because driveways are one strong material over the next, they are strong enough to serve their purpose. This may seem logical, but it is not.
First, driveway materials are not actually strong. Because the driveway is built from several layers of aggregate stone and compacted sand, there are actually tiny air pockets throughout the base of the driveway. This is necessary because without these voids, there would be no way for water to drain back into the soil.
When these voids are closed with time and wear, we get what is called a "compacted" layer. This reduces the number of gaps in the substrate, making it more difficult for water to drain out in heavy rain. If the drainage is too poor, water can start to pool on (or under) the driveway, causing a host of problems, from eroding materials to sinking foundations.
This is where geocells can help.
