Geocell for Load Support

Geocell for Load Support

1. Deal with half-filled and half-cut subgrade

When building an embankment on a slope where the natural slope of the ground is steeper than 1:5, the embankment base should be dug steps, and the width of the steps should not be less than 1M. When the road is built or rebuilt in phases and the road is widened, the junction of the new and old subgrade fill slopes should be opened. For digging steps, the width of the high-grade highway steps is generally 2M, and the geocell is laid on the horizontal surface of each step, and the geocell’s own elevation confinement reinforcement effect is used to better solve the problem of uneven settlement.

2. Roadbed in sandy areas

Low embankments should be the main roadbed in sandy areas, and the filling height is generally not less than 0.3M. Due to the professional requirements for low roadbeds and heavy loads in sandy areas, the use of geocells can limit loose fillers. The limited height ensures that the roadbed has high rigidity and strength to withstand the load stress of large vehicles.

3. Filling and reinforcement of the subgrade behind abutment

The use of geocells can better achieve the purpose of reinforcement of the abutment back. Sufficient friction can be generated between the geocell and the filler, which can effectively reduce the uneven settlement between the subgrade and the structure, and finally can effectively alleviate the "abutment jump". What Is a Dimpled Drainage Matting?

What Is a Dimpled Drainage Matting? Most  dimpled drainage matting  consist of a polypropylene or high-density polyethylene  sheet, molded into a series of raised knobs, or dimples. Polyethylene dimpled drainage mat helps water flow away from the foundation. Without it, water can stay trapped against the concrete or pool at the bottom. Drainage mats come with a dimpled design that lets water accumulate and flow away, creating an air gap. When a dimple mat is placed against a concrete wall, the dimples make the plastic stand out from the wall, leaving a free-draining air space between the plastic and the concrete. If any water reaches this air space, it easily flows to the bottom of the dimple mat. As water flows, it picks up small particles of silt and soil. When water stops moving—like when it reaches a concrete wall—silt and soil will accumulate, further increasing the pressure against the foundation. A drainage ma's membrane protects the mat from sediment clogging...

What are the Precautions For Geogrid Transportation And Storage?

As a   Geocell Supplier , share with you. Geogrid is a material often seen in various building constructions, and its demand is still very large. How to store and transport the purchased materials is also a problem that customers care about. Geocell for Load Support 1. Storage of geogrid. Geogrid is a geosynthetic material produced from unique construction materials such as polypropylene and polyethylene. It has the disadvantage of being easy to age when exposed to ultraviolet light. Therefore, steel-plastic geogrid reinforced grids should be stacked in a room with natural ventilation and light isolation; The total time for the accumulation of the reinforcement is not more than 3 months. If the accumulation time is too long, it needs to be inspected again; when paving, attention should be paid to reduce the time of direct exposure to natural light to avoid aging. 2. Engineering construction of reinforcement. In order to prevent Geshan from being damaged at the construction site, a ...
